  • 30M more Americans are expected to watch CTV than watch traditional TV this year as CTV becomes the new viewership norm.
  • Over 70% of marketers say their CTV campaigns beat expectations. Plus, studies show that shifting even a small portion of a TV ad budget to CTV can boost reach and efficiency.
  • While both are set to increase, the share of time spent on CTV is far outpacing its share of total media ad spend.
  • As more viewers subscribe to multiple services, reaching new audiences has become more efficient allowing brands to fine-tune publisher mixes and maximize campaign impact.

CTV with Basis has never been better! Below are some things we think you should know about running your CTV campaign with Basis:

  • Live Sports: Live CTV in and of itself has become more popular as live content audiences tend to be more focused and emotionally invested in what they have committed to watch at a very specific time. You can find live sports PMPs across all sports or get specific like baseball, golf, and women’s sports.
  • Your CPM is Flexible: While PMPs will be the best place to reach premium content, you can add open exchange inventory, an allowlist, or regular online video to lower the eCPM for your campaign. (SS Note) When you execute your own media you set your bids. Experiment and test the rates. Start low, if you are performing and scaling your campaign, great (!), if not adjust your bid little by little to find what is best for that campaign.
  • Completion Rate Retargeting: Build an audience of users who have viewed your advertising all the way through. Then retarget them with both video and display assets. We know repeat exposure, especially with different formats is the best way to engage with an audience.
